The turtles have arrived!!

Hi there badgers!!

Shucks - sorry we've been quiet - also managed to lose the cell phone (mobile - for the pommie crew!) which is awesome - makes getting in touch all that much easier! Any hoot - will hopefully purchase a 1 x cheapie when we hit Krabi so will keep you all posted!

Right - I'm not going to give you the full run down as folk are drinking Changs on the beach without me (and Gary) - if i stay too long I'll have to play catch up and Jules would have munched all the snacks!! Yip the gang have arrived - SOOOOO very stoked - been having so many whales (of good times!) Think my last ramble was about our scoot mission (just hopped off a scoot as it so happens) - so crap scootin round Ko Lanta in the sun...YOOOOOOT - did almost see my naught on some soft sand but managed to tap into some mad skills and make it out alive! To sum up the past 2 weeks - after the scoot mission we headed down South to Don Det - 4000 islands in Southern Laos - AWESOME! We had our own wee bungalow right on the river kitted out with 1 bed and 2 hammocks and that's it! All for the massive sum of 15 000 kip (+- 50p!!) Was super pretty - even managed to pat me a 1x water buffalo! Those beasts are everywhere in Laos - quite the mellow dudes. After that we embarked on our epic 23hr bus ride all the way to Hua Hin - laanie island on the Gulf of Thailand - many a laanie take their pies there for a wee vacation but it was very pretty and quite refreshing after Laos...although we still didn't track down a hot shower! Oh waggle! It was also our first beach experience - shucks how i wish you could all see Slimey's awesome t-shirt tan - quite spectacular - he's still looking a tad patchy but we're getting there slowly!

So we spent 2 nights in Hua Hin (or 3? beach heed is getting the better of me) before we had to mission to Ko Tao in time to see the turtles lay their eggs on the beach...HA!! yip - that has been my line the entire holiday - the reason we have been flying through Laos and Northern Thailand - Sime was so super excited to see the shelled beasts paddle on to the sand and pop some eggs - amazing how they head for Ko Tao on the 22 October every year... YOOOOT!! Anyhoo - he bought the big whopper and that's all that mattered! For those of you who don't know (or who are planning a trip to Ko Tao on the 22nd October 2010! - don't - there are no turtles! The turtles were none other than Juuuuuules, Rat and Cheese plus 2 bonus turtles who chose to surprise me - Jackass and Brett!! Wow - Sime was so surprised! We had taken the night ferry to Ko Tao (saving beans - travelling with the cargo - no jokes!!) Was actually really pretty - so many stars and just me, Slime and some top notch cargo! Anyhoo we chugged in at 4:45 that morn...we then fought with the boat taxi dude - trying to rip us off - finally cut a deal and off we paddled to Tao Thong Villa - both of us now grumpy and tired. As we arrived the betty came up to us and started babbling on about some friends of ours that wre here - luckily Sime thought she was smoking the crack pipe - thank goodness cause she was doing a good job of ruining my surprise - it did help that she was calling me Enna instead of Emma so Sime just figured she had the wrong 'Enna'! To cut a long story short i tracked the gang down - was both super surprised and super stoked to see Jackass and Brettmobile too. We all gathered for breakfast and i wandered off to fetch grumpy Slime! Was so classic - he was so surprised - it was all quite surreal! And hence why i have been so quiet - soooo many good times to tally! We spent the first day on the beach slugging back beers in the sea; day 2 we headed out on an awesome snorkelling mission - gotta dig a shneaky shnorkel!! Was such fun - hired our own long tail boat and simlpy booked out for the whole day! Jules got munched by a fish - she wasn't stoked (was quite funny though - she was marvellng at the wee stripey critter when it decided to nibble on her finger!! she wasn't all that amped for teh shneaky shnorkel after that! Rat caught a rather large fish - looked kinda like an eel - cooked it up for grub that eve but it tased like supreme ass!! Oh well!! Good times none the less! We then missioned off to KO Pha-Ngan - found an awesome little spot - secluded bay. We hired jeeps and charged round the island - the roads are crazy - my ass is still recovering. Shucks i feel like I'm rushing all this but I'm just so amped to hit the beach - I'll scribble a proper update of all adventures when our party crew head back to London town! After Ko pha-ngan we took our party pies to Ko Lanta where we've been for the past 3 days! Staying in a top notch spot -been on a snorkelling adventure to Ko-Rok which was super cool; yesterday we hired scoots and charged round and tomorrow we embark on our 2 day kayaking adventure!! Super excited for that and will fill you in on all the stories in a few days...but right now I'm OUT!!

All in all we're having a ball - so nice to see some of our friends again! It really is crazy how much we all laugh - Slime in particular - the one day us betties hiked up a mountain - the man-beasts were out at sea catching swimmers - you couldn't see them for shit but yet you could still hear Slime's laugh!! many a party too (obviously) - Sime has managed to pee in the shower and out the window so is still on top form!! Gotta love a drunken sleep-walker - never fear - i keep a close eye! Right - missing you all span and will yap soon (after our paddle mission) - the turtles head for Bangkok on Monday so it will be me and slime once again...ho hum! Good times - Indo is next point of call😊

Awwww so glad to hear you are having an amazing time, and would have paid to see your faces when Ass and Bret arrived too!! (WHAT?!?!) can't believe she left me here, I could have fitted in her backpack!! Anyways, missing you LOADS and can't wait for the updates from Ass! HUGS - Rachel xxx
