So we are sitting here in a Thai cafe, enjoying iced coffee and Chang beer (recommended by Phil), jet lagged as feck but happy to be here. Going for a snooze soon and will wake up later with no idea of what's going on lol! So what did it tKe to get here! We took a bus at 2.30 am from Gorey to Dublin Airport, then took a flight to Amsterdam, then onward to Bangkok. Luckily we were given all our boarding passes in Dublin so just had to go straight to the gate when we arrived in Amsterdam. It's really worth making sure your airlines have a partnership so you don't need to stress about your connection. The connecting flight form Amsterdam to Bangkok with China Airlines was a lengthy 11 hours but we have to say it went by much quicker than expected. We got two big meals (by airline standards), snacks and plenty Of drinks. There was a good choice of movies and it was cool being able to track the flight on screen. I would recommend bringing an eye mask and earplugs for long haul flights ( we forgot ours!). We could have been more prepared for our arrival in Bangkok, not an easy city to navigate, do get good direction to your accommodation printed ?

Next time on spudstobananapancakes, Bangkok Breen style
