Club near my home Second part of my travel preparations was to finish all my vaccinations, buying tablet (so I could keep in touch during my travels) and new phone. 😊
My last vaccination was 4 days before departure. On Thursday I went to see Maja to walk with her and last efforts to do everything I did not have time to do before, I even squized cinema in– I went to see Breaking Dawn with my brother because my usual companion was not around and I could not think about anybody better to go with.
Everybody during the day kept asking me whether I am already packed but to be honest I started packing at 20:00 and was finished by 21:00 -the charm of frequent flyer.
The dilema than started because as usual I packet too much (instead of 30kg I had 40kg).
Luckily I travelled with Turkish Airlines and they do not check the weight very often.
On Friday I left to pick up Magda´s father who wanted to see me off to the airport. I came back and we left for the airport with me as usually
:)
my double bed beeing stressed about my luggage. At the check- in I left my suitcases (yes without trouble) but this was not the end – I found out that my mum was innitiative and packed all my cables to my suitcase which rung a bell what if it gets lost? I want be able to contact anybody 😞
I said my goodbyes and left to the duty free fighting tears. During my flight to Istanbul I sat next a nice turkish guy and we talked much and I indulged on my meal and I did not have time to think about anything.
In Istanbul airport I found my way around the stupid thing there was that I had to go through the scanner again – I sould be phosphorescent by now . During the wait for my plane a taught entered my mind – what am I doing? Why am I doing this? I wanna go home.
After 2 glasses of wine, cheese cake and 2 movies I felt asleep in the plane and when I woke up I saw the Himalayas (eventhough I was still tired I decided not to sleep in
Cables
view from my balcony order not to have jet lag) I filled up the paper work went through the check and pray for my luggage to arrive, meet with the person who picked me up and went to my new appartment. Where it took all my will to stay up and alone. Later I went to check out the neighbourhood and buy some things to my new place. When I returned I unpacked my suitcase and uncovered several surprises -my mum packed several different things for me when I was gone - like a dress which I was hot in when I was in Sweden (my point is why the hell would I need winter dress in Thailand?!) like there is winter there (there is but the temperature does not drop below 22 degrees).
After the unpacking my adventure started.
WELCOMe TO THAILAND.
