Its the day before we leave and Marie cant move because she has sharp agonizing pains in her lower stomach. She also had a fever and a head ache and the runs. We went to a pharamcy, they suggested we go to a hospital. So we did. Turns out she has an intestine infection and has to spend the night and possible longer in the hospital. the doctor started her intervenus and got her settled in her room. we got a semi private room so i was able to spend the night with her. Oh our bags werent packed so i had to go back to our guest house and pack up both of our bags, just incase we could make out flight, then head back to the hospital for the night. In the morning the doctor said that she was well enough to travel so we packed up all 7 of her perscritions and left. We met Cody in Singapore and made it to Sydney. she still has some pain, we are hoping it will go away if she keeps taking her meds. We dont exactly know how she got this infection, it could of been from a "wet fruit" which is just a bad fruit or maybe it was from one of the street vendors, were not sure. just glad its all over.

catch you all later.

Glad to hear that you made it safely to Aussie Land. Tell Marie she should always wash her hands before eating. Sure anxious to have a talk with you girls. They say the way to say money is not to take a taxi but to hop in the pouch of a kangaroo. Keep us posted on your travels. Phone us collect sometimes. I was going to go with Cody but I couldn't get my passport on time. Love you, Grampy

Dear Emily, I hope that you are enjoying yourself and learning a great deal about different cultures. Being in Australia now, you will be referred to as a "Sheila". The Aussie men call all women "Sheila". They probably have some fun night life such as clubs with good music. Take some of it in but be careful. Maybe you can go to an Australian rules football game. Love, Uncle Barry ps No bungy jumping, hang gliding, scuba diving. There are great white sharks there! Have fun!
