Well, this is my first entry of my very first blog, so I'll make it punchy and to the point, the jokes can come once I'm up and running. Experienced the worst journey I have ever made. The flight was unbelievably long, made worse by the stop-over in Oman.

We got to Bangkok around 8pm and jumped in a cab straight to Khao San Road. All the hustle and bustle you would expect from a Thai city. After some careful consideration we chose the more 'luxurious' room to kip for the night, a shower AND a/c.

The first night we were pretty tired and so just got some food and went to sleep. In the morning we headed down to the Siam centre to sort out electricals. The only place where so many people can own phone shops and still have any custom - literally a whole floor of the department store dedicated to small glass countered phone stalls...so bought a camera.

In the evening had some food from one of the street stalls...chicken and egg noodles for £1!!
