Went to MBK - a ginormous 7-storey shopping mecca! Bought a few dodgy DVDs and games today....and.....wait for it......SPSS version 15!! (those of you who understand the elusiveness of this program will be impressed).

Also found the quickest, most economical and most direct way around Bangkok - on the water!
Only 13 baht can get you from one side of the city to the other, if you can dodge the 1000 baht long boat rides. The brutal precision of the driver was pretty amazing, being guided by only a whistle and driving what looked like a recommissioned V8, we were impressed!

The pollution and water quality was pretty appalling though, a nice murky poo-brown colour, however, we did see some young Thai boys enjoying a splash in the river...

Not much else to report for today...onto the night train to Changmai..pretty small sleepers, but lucky for us we're short...and they brought beer (running theme in this city)!
