Kick off the morning by visiting Green Tea Plantation produces high-quality green tea and is a popular tourist attraction year-round thanks to the vast rows of tea trees that line the hillside like a deep green carpet. You will have a chance to taste Boseong Green Tea Icecream! After a lunch break, we continue with visits to the reed fields in Suncheonman Bay which are thickly covered with reeds taller than a full-grown man. It is the biggest colony of reeds in Korea. Among the world’s wetlands, it is widely known for attracting the largest number of rare birds. After visiting Suncheon, you'll head to Yeosu to experience a ride on the Yeosu Maritime Cable Car—an aerial tramway offering breathtaking views of Yeosu's coastline and landmarks. Glide over the sea and witness the city's beauty from a unique perspective as the cable car connects Dolsan Island to the mainland. Taking the cable car down to visit Admiral Yi Sun-sin Square. The giant Admiral Yi statue in the middle of the rotary is arguably the most recognizable spot in the city. There are lots of restaurants and bakeries nearby. AUTHOR’S NOTE: Uncle Larry had to abort the climb to the top of the hill at the Green Tea Plantation. He stopped counting in the 90s and estimates there were another 20-30 steps to get to the intermediate terrace, where the photos were taken. Others in the group suggested I had made a wise choice. At the reed fields in Suncheonman Bay, we were told the trek was 7 km (about 5 mi.), so Uncle Larry opted out and watched the water fowl from the coffee shop. Rain forced the group to abort the hike and, again, suggested I had made a wise choice. Our dinner was cooked tableside and much of it was still live on arrival (LOA vs. DOA). Some had a issue with animal abuse, but the proof of "fresh" can't get any more overwhelming.
