Petite France is a French style village nestled in rural Gyeonggi-do. It is situated between Cheongpyeong and Gaypyeong, two smallish towns. It's quite a trek from Seoul, but since we were in the area, we headed there for a look around. We got a lift there and joined the queue to pay our entrance fee. For a cold, overcast afternoon in January, the place was pretty busy, definitely busier than I expected. I think the entrance fee was 8,000 won. We wandered around the village for a couple hours, we had got a leaflet when entered which had a map on it, but we didn't really use it. There were plenty of things to take photos of. Another visit to the Garden of Morning Calm. I really enjoyed it last year, and some of friends hadn't been so I headed back this year with them. We did it differently to last year, instead of taking one of the regular buses from the bus terminal we (well, Yeri) booked us a package deal. It was 19,000 won and included the return coach trip from Apgujeong (fancy part of Seoul) and admission to the garden. The bus journey took about an hour and half and went pretty smoothly due to not much traffic. This was certainly quicker than last year, when we took the bus to Cheongpyeong and then a taxi to the gardens. I spotted the lush dalkgalbi restaurant we went to last year. 23rd Feb: A lovely late start today! We met up in Seoul around 2:30. Grabbed a coffee in Paris Baguette before heading off on the subway to Dong Seoul Bus Terminal. When we got off the subway we crossed over tot the bus terminal. We found the right counter to buy the tickets at. That took some searching as it meant reading all the different boards to find the right place. After we had purchased the tickets we had a bit of time as the bus wasn't leaving until half four. Onto the bus, booted some wife out of our seats at the front. Cheeky mare, it's not like can't read that we are given seat numbers on our tickets. The journey took about an hour, maybe a bit longer.
