This morning again we woke up to a fantastic view, we had the left over sandwiches and juice and we put on our bathers and our last thing we had to do here this morning before checking out is to have our final swim in the Infinity Pool. We left our room, went over to the end of the corridor and we could see our ship at the Cruise Port. There was another ship at the port too which looked older and a lot smaller, that was the Millennium, not sure what cruise line though. We continued up to the pool on level 57, grabbed our towels and found 2 chairs right by the water side. We headed into the pool, carefully taking cameras and phones above water level, the water was cool but you got used to it!! Being on the edge of this pool has a fantastic view of the city, we took photos, did lots of selfies and as we didn't have much time before checkout time, we sat by the pool to dry, admiring the view for a while, then put on our dressing gowns and went over to Tower 3 to the front end
(bow) of the pool level to see this amazing view of the Singapore Flyer and also all around the Marina Bay Gardens and beyond, fantastic views.
We went back, did our final packing, checked out from Hotel, stood in line, then got a taxi to the Marina Bay Cruise terminal, which didn't look too far away but was, we left our bags at the bag drop then joined the line for immigration, and check in. We got there just after 11am, and it didn't take too long before we were allowed onboard the ship. Once onboard, we signed up for the drinks package, then hit the bar for a drink!! Sitting at the bar watching people go by, we got talking to a couple when they got to the bar, knew they sounded like Aussies so asked them where they were from, well they're from Adelaide !!! Announcements came through the intercom to welcome everyone onboard and to let everyone know that rooms will be ready from 1pm, so we went to the Windjammer Cafe, deck 11 for a casual meal, this is just a casual eating area, right at the back of the ship.
Next announcement after lunch was
that all rooms are ready but luggage may not be at our rooms yet but won't be too far away.
Luggage arrived before long so we unpacked our bags, and out on our bathers as the swimming pool was calling us!! So many of the pool deck chairs were already taken so we wandered around for a while until we found chairs. Clint went in the pool but I was happy to watch for now!! The weather was perfect, sun Shining and a bit humid, many people wandering around checking out what was where, including us!!
Back to our room, after some sun and some drinks, already feeling like we've eaten and been drinking too much already and this is day 1 of cruise!!! At 4.30pm, everyone one board had to do a Mandatory Safety Drill, so we all had areas to go to and once we there, we listen ended and watched the safety drill. Once this was done, we went along the Royal Promenade to have s look at the shops( which were closed).
Dinner was to follow a bit later so we had to go to deck 5 for our dining called The Sound of Music, this dining
room is for "My Time Dining" which is self explanatory !!!
Dinner was really nice, s bit rushed between courses but it was ok. We wandered around a bit discovering what was where then headed back to our room for an early night!!!
