View across to Sentosa
The track on the left is for the Sentosa Express. The other day our waiter who served the "Yankee Burger" asked if we'd been to Sentosa yet?
When we said "no", he said "You haven't been to Singapore until you've been to Sentosa, you really must go".
He also told us about the show "Song of the Sea" which is shown on the sea.....
Sounded a bit like the incredible "Fantasmic" at Disney in Florida.
That was it!
We had to go.
Like everywhere else in Singapore,
it was so easy to get there.
Just had to walk through another massive mall,
to get to the Sentosa Express.
Could have taken the cable car,
but we had already agreed to go up in the Carlsburg Sky Tower.
It being, a lot higher for the aerial photos....
Bought a ticket for a few of the attractions on offer and spent the day having fun...
Later we got our £2 tickets for the show "Song of the Sea".
And as night fell we headed for the beach to watch this amazing show.
See our video of
Merlion
It's a Lion/Mermaid and it's a Singapore thing! its highlights........

Coo er!
What a fun time! I remember (yawwwn, they all say) when it was called Blackang Mati. We used to go there for picnics in the 1960's when it was jungle and gun emplacements against the Japanese invaders (our parents knew how to give us a good time!!), AND we found a rifle AND a scorpion. Distortion of truth:- The scorpion found us. It walked out of the rotting gun barrel on the kitchen floor hours later in our flat in Singapore. Mum didn't half scream. I still reckon it would have made a wonderful pet. Sigh. You're missing autumn spinach here, I hope you realise! Do let me know where to send it... cheers for now, Jane
