As mentioned previously that we were with
Genesis Diversfor our entire dive trip. We were really fortunate to have this wonderful divemaster - Junior, as our guide. Not only was he experienced, he was extremely alert and patient with all of us - as we were slow, clumsy and took forever to take photos.
Despite all that, these fun people on this trip taught me alot, and I was very appreciative of them and of the things that I had learnt through them. As most of them were underwater photography enthusiast, it was fun listening to them and seeing them fuddle with their gadgets. Even though, it tempted me so much to go back to Singapore to get myself a whole new underwater camera system, I also understand the need to improve my diving skills so that I can be able to control my ascend and descend better to get closer to my object.
On this trip we had 3 dive masters, Junior and one more guys (oops I forgot his name) from
Genesis Divers, and Jean, my dive instructor (even though this was her leisure dive). With all of them, it was a pretty safe and relaxing dive with nothing
much to worry. Although I think I made them worried about my buoyancy problem a few times. Junior got to a point where he piled me with 8kg of weight to keep me down - I really think I have too much fats on me. Hee ^_^
We had so many dives, about 18 per pax (one of my friend said that it was a legendary dive trip). We did all the different types of dives - from drift dives to shore dives to night dives. Most of our dives were boat dives, and they were all awesome. The water was simply clear and beautiful, it was also abundance with fish and other sea creatures. Even though, there were a few sites where there were alot of garbages from the nearby boats, which is quite a sad thing. When will human ever learn to treasure and appreciate what we have?
Nevertheless, it was a fun 1st time underwater photography experience for me. I took alot of photos, but most of them didn't turn out right. Maybe I shall upgrade my camera system. But I'm not sure. Let's see how things turn out.
As I have been playing
with alot of iphone apps, I realised that collage is the best way one can make up for the bad photographs. In a collage, the picture is small, but with the right combination and background, the overall effect helps to overcome the bad photo quality, allowing me to show the picture the best way possible - maximizing the beauty and minimizing the flaws.
For those who like to find out the app I use, they are mainly
InstaCollage and
InstaMag. Do hope you guys enjoy the photos. I simply can't wait for our next dive trip at the end of this year.
