As mentioned previously, it's been so long since I last dived, thus I needed some time to readjust my buoyancy, my equipments, and to accustom myself to diving. I felt really bad as I was such a lousy diver as compared to my Weishing's little girl, Anna. She is only 10 but she is such a wonderful diver. I was totally put to shame.
Fortunately, my seasickness wasn't too bad. I managed to enjoy alot more of this trip as compared to my previous dive trips. As the nausea-ness did not hit me that badly, I was able to stay awake longer on the boat and had more fun in the water with the rest.
While on land, there is little the land could provide us with some food and little entertainment.
The resort that we are staying at, was in collaboration with the dive centre that we hook up to -
Genesis Divers. The resort that we put up at was
Hayahay. Both of them belong to a German couple, and the staffs at both places were awesome.
As we spend most of our time in the waters, and out at sea, the number of hours we
spend on the main land are little. Most of the time we spend were on having a slow dinner discussing about what happened during our dives, and what we should be doing on our next dives, or where we should be going next for our next trip.
As the island is very small, most of the resorts, restaurants, dive centres were based along the Panglao Beach. There were a few nice restaurants (that were also tied up with their individual resorts) which were along the beach. But we mainly hang around 2 restaurants - the Great Aussie BBQ and the other one I don't know it's name (we only know they serve great kang kong and seafood). We had such a wonderful time chatting, people watching and chillaxing along the beach, we didn't realised how time passed us by.
There were a few times where there were blackouts. We heard from the staff that there was a typhoon on the way. Fortunately, the typhoon never came and we continued to enjoy our dives. As well as, the fact that our resort was on the side of the island with the back up generator, hence our blackout didn't last
very long.
However, there was once when we were having dinner at the Great Aussie BBQ, the black out lasted the entire dinner. Nevertheless, the owner was a very sweet guy, he entertained us with his awesome singing, and we had such a romantic dinner in the dark.
Towards the end of our trip, we found a nice and affordable massage parlour - The Duchess. Subsequently, we spent alot of our time there getting a good massage. One our 2nd last night, I even got myself a henna. The tattoo artist was really patient and good at it.
