Question: What is the dominant religion in Maldives? How does this religion differ from Christianity?

Article:

In this article it speaks on the topics of the environment, the people, history, and government of Maldives. I specifically focus on the main religion, which is Islam. There are four different religions citizens are involved in; Sunni, Shi'a, Hindus, and Buddhist. Majority of their population are Sunni followers and the smallest religious leaders there are Hindus and Buddhist. The differences between Islam and Christianity are on beliefs, traditions, holidays, past history, and rituals. Christianity revolves around the beliefs of The Bible and what occurred after the resurrection of Jesus. Islam, on the other hand, believes in the Qur'an and how Jesus never died.

Based on the religion in Maldives, there must be some conflict between the citizens because Sunni and Shi'a followers have had differences in religion that they don't agree with. The Islam faith is practiced by almost all of the population; therefore, it signifies that everyone has a dedication to stop everything they are currently doing to do the Islam practices. This focus gave me another understanding of what they lifestyle is
for people living in Maldives is like and a constant action that they go everyday. I also learned how the Islam religion can be similar to the religion of my own, but still have ways that it looks completely different.
