Question: What is the current political structure/government in this country/region? Who has power, and how do those in power interact with their people?

Article:

The passage specifically speaks to the reader about the government that there is in the Maldives. Their government currently consists of a president as well as having the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Their government is similar to the United States' government system alike others, too. The people that live in the Maldives have their rights too by being allowed to vote for their leader every five years for reelections. Although their country has gone through tough situations with dealing with repetitive presidents and the practices of overthrowing, Maldives strive to give their citizens a reasonable government.

By this passage I got a taste of how they were involved with their culture and religion just as how others were involved into the government of the country. Most of the citizens living there have their beliefs on the Islam religion, being a perfect place to practice that religion being surrounded by crystal clear water all around. While digging deeper into this location, I hope to learn more on how the
citizens there cooperate with their surroundings.
