As James was feeling better today, we decided to do one of the 14 or so walks listed - we decided to do a mountain walk to Gunung Beremban.

It was a good day for it, the sun was out and the ground not too wet. The walk took 6 hours in the end, but the sight from the top was worth it. This was definitely a proper jungle/mountain walk and some of it was so steep that James had to haul me up! The peak stood at around 6800m!

It's funny how we keep bumping into the same people - we were walking up to the peak, when we saw the Czech guy that we had seen in Melaka and also KL. After chatting for a few minutes we carried on up whilst he went down....I wonder if we will bump into him again!

Anyway we came back down a different route so that we could see some waterfalls but in some ways, coming down is worse than going up!!! Again progress was slow, and James had to help me out a couple of times...but we were both glad we did it!

After such a hard day we relaxed in the hostel and watched Blood Diamond and The Queen - these DVDs are pirate copies and some of the subtitle translations (the guy put on English subtitles) were awful to say the least but I still got the general outline of what was going on! But the hostel is very good in that there is usually a film on every day and they had Scrabble!
