Day trip

Well...let me begin by saying that it is important to do a little research before going to a different country, even if it is only a 40 minute bus ride from Singapore! Christa and I decided to do a day trip to Malaysia for lunch and due to our time restraints we decided to go to Johor...we then wake up this morning to find in the paper an article about how unsafe Johor is and the plague of violence and theft that has been happening there the past while.

Don't worry mom and dad...we made it out fine. We had met a nice Singaporian man, Simon there who pretty much took us around to see all of the important sites of Johor and he made sure we got back to the bus station okay-what he failed to mention was how expensive the little taxi tour would cost us-we think he knew exactly what he was doing and ripped us off big time by telling us the cab ride cost more than it really did! Oh well, live and learn...
