During the weekends i'll try to see as much as possible from tokyo and around. So i will give a short update of my last weekend at Tokyo. The weekend break started around 4 PM on saturday. I drove by bike to Roppongi hills (30 minutes) (japanese hollywood). In Roppongi hills i met up and we went to the Mori Art museum. A museum on the 52nd floor of a skyscraper...crazy. First we enjoyd the amazing view during the day. When we had seen enough buildings, we went for a stroll along the modern art. The main exhibition hosted a lot of very nice video art, even by a dutch artists. After visiting allready a few musea i can say that the japanese art is much more raw, real, extreme and thus for me much more interesting for me. After 2 hours in the museum we went again for a city view, but now at nigth time. This was even more impressive. Sometimes the clouds ligthed up by the buildings underneath. It was amazing to see the movement, bigness and chaos of this beautifull city. On the way back we went by cycle to shibuya. On the way we found a

very nice underground DJ boot, where we drunk some beers and met up with some local dj's. Later on we drove with a DJ to shibuya and had another drink. After the perfect satuday i went on sunday to the zoo. because it was national holiday the zoo was for free and it felt like that half of japan was visiting the zoo. So we watched more people than animals...but it was very nice and we have seen a lot of nice animals. Unfortunately the giant panda beer just died a few days before. The zoo had made a memorial place for him, wich was visited by a lot of people. After the zoo we went to the ueno market, and there we also weren't the only ones, haha! After the ueno market we visited electric city and book city. The northern part of Tokyo is set up by districts where you only can buy elecytrical supplies or books, or whatever. It was amazing to see all the giant shops with people standing in front of it shouting to the croud to atract customers....zucht....zucht....i don't get enough of this city!!!!
