The folowing day i took the early bus to Geongju, said to be the kyoto of Korea. I had to agree with that, the city hosted some great temples and palaces. The difference with the japanese temples/ shrines is that the Korean ones are smaller, but much more colourfull. I was amazed by the beautifull painting of animals and gods. Half the day i visited some temples before going by bus to Daegu, the third largest citie in Korea. Wel known about its famous herbal medicine market, here you find the fairytale powerdrinks such as reindeer horns, strange leafs, ginseng roots, salamander tails, pork feet, etc...etc..it was interesting for a short walk around this area.
