I am in Japan!!! A long way from Adelaide, Australia, but here I am in Shizuoka for a year teaching at an English Kindergarten while seeing and experiencing as much of this crazy, mixed up, amazing country as I can! Howdy, How is everyone? Good, Great.
I just got home from Wednesday night tuition and thank goodness its nearly the end of the year coz Ive had just about enough repeating the same thing over and over. "Its not sarada, its salad" and "my favourite food is curry and rice" not "Cullylice". Grrrrrrrr
So anyway, this blog is to report on the smashingly good time had by all (thats me and Marissa) at Fuji Q Highland on Sunday. Fuji Q is one of the premier rollercoaster parks in the world, three of the coasters there have held or are currently holding world records, the new one only opened in July. We got up bright and early and hit the road with our Chai, to arrive at Fuji Q at 8.15, get our photo passes snapped and get in the line for EEJANAIKA. You can check this out at www.eejanaika.co.jp or You Tube it.
It was wicked. So
tremendously, bodaciously, freakishly scary. It holds the WR for most inversions- 14 times you go upside down!! And its 4-D, so your spinning while moving while being upside down while feeling like your being catapulted into outerspace while screaming red rescue (thats the opposite of blue murder) and holding on for cheap death (thats the opposite of dear life). Stay tuned for more twisted cliches!!!
Eejanaika rocks!
Fujiyama used to hold the record for highest and longest, and is now i think third in the world. This one was great too, and is where i got the name for this blog. I would like to formally apologise to the people sitting behind me on this rollercoaster as I fear they got a little more than they bargained for in the form of the spit and dribble (and im ashamed to say a little bit of snot) that escaped me. In my defence I was concentrating on laughing and screaming and not falling out and keeping my eyes in their sockets.
DO-DOM-PA was the other of the major coasters at Fuji Q and this ones claim to fame is 0-172 kph in 2 secs. Yep thats sounds fast and
it was.
We also went iceskating (yay for a Winter Wonderland) and soon I will be a snowboarder. Christmas is in Sapporo (Hokkaido) this year so guaranteed to be white and Im gonna pat the straights (thats the opposite of hitting the slopes). So spare a thought for this little snow bunnies bottom in the coming months!!
Continuing the White Christmas theme was our visit to the light tunnel at Gotemba. It was beautiful to see all the lights and be super cold (even tho it didnt snow) and this was all topped off by the all you can eat buffet restaurant that overlooks the lights. Yummo!!
This will be my last blog before Christmas so to everyone I love I hope you are happy and safe and have a lovely festive season. I will be thinking of you and missing you all so so much.
Melly Chlistmas!!!!

Baka? What The?
Hi Aims, Sensational shots once again. As for ya "Baka" mate, ya should've just kneed him in Mt Fuji and push him over in true Aussie style. Don't tell ya Mum I said that!. Anyway, I'm off to Sydney for Xmas drinks with the family down there. Should be good to see the rug rats and have a few echoes. It's been crazy weather here still. Lots of bush fires in NSW and Tas and then temperatures as low as 15 degrees in the middle of summer, so I say something has gotta give pretty soon. Have a wonderful white Christmas and Happy New Year. lotsa of Xmas happiness to you, Ben.
