Hello guys..This is the first time I am writing something in an open forum and that too knowing I am not good at this. Neither I m a highly experienced trekker to give you a great exposure to it but there are some experiences which are worth sharing .I have been in mountains before hiking ,trekking..but this experience was something else. I would like to call it a small expedition. We 7 Bengali friends leading the normal Bengali lives have one thing in common passion for mountains ,adventures and trekking. Amongst us 5 were having previous experience of trekking and I count myself in that too. We planned to go for Pangarchulla peak summit in April. Well, This one is going to be short and sweet for now, as Im sat in some very unstable feeling loft internet cafe in central Kolkata, fretting slightly about the decent to freedom!! Anyway, just wanted to post quickly to say HELLLOOOOO to everyone, and apologise for being so wrapped up in my TEFL bubble for the last four weeks. Needless to say, now i am free!! Got my certificate yesterday, and fly down to goa for my children walkign tall return in the morning. Four weeks has absolutely flown by, but feels like a lifetime in the same breath. I have learnt much, and most importantly, I now have the confidence to teach!! My last three lessons on Tues, Weds and Thurs last week were so much fun, I LOVE IT!!! So, here I am, almost half way through my TEFL experience. I can’t believe it’s getting close to two weeks since I left the UK. It feels like only a heartbeat ago, but also an eternity since I was sitting on the plane at Manchester Airport watching the snow fall and wondering if we’d actually ever take off. Thankfully we did, albeit 4 hours later than planned. Two pretty uneventful plane rides later, I arrived at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Bose International Airport, or Dum Dum airport as it is better known. I was relieved to see my bag appear on the carousal (I never trust that it will be successfully checked all the way through). Immigration was simple, and I was soon in the arrivals lounge.
