Taj Mahal

soooo after a very dangerous 5 hour journey we headed to Agra where we finally got to see the Taj Mahal!!

Was breathtaking... altho rly rly busy!!! we got a cycle rickshaw thing to the gate and took the walk through the park which was lovely! After the taj we triiiieddd to head back to our hotel, although got a bit lost which is not safe in agra so we hopped on another rickshaw as walking would be too risky!

We have found that being blonde, and female we seem to be getting a lot of un wanted attention about 100 people crowded round us at the taj taking our photo and wanting to shake our hands... was very strange!

We ate in our hotel, as night times are worst for crime etc, also the food in the hotel is really good! We met a lovely english couple so chatted to them about our experiences so far, and as the 1st english ppl we had seen, was a breath of fresh air to talk to someone!!

Up early the next day to drive to Jaipur, (5 hours). Rly nice city, so colourful... sari's and like everywhere else rly noisy! The journey on the way was interesting, so many villages and was great to be somewhere more rural.

I am now sat in what must be a -10 star hotel, rly not very nice!! will put pics up soon!

We are going to venture out tonight with our driver as here is safe compared to delhi/ agra!!

Tomorrow we are going to see the great palace and go to the huge bizaars for some retail therapy!!

We are both really tired and counting down the days til Goa, but are safe and well, and enjoying the huuuuge cultural change!!

Hi Grandad, thank you for the message and Im glad you are able to work the blog! Having a really good time, some highs some lows, but we are in a lovely family run hotel at the moment looking over the whole of Udaiper and the Palace and lake which is beautiful. Tomorrow evening we are getting the sleeper train to Bombay (Mumbai) and will have one night there before flying to Goa! Cant believe how quickly this is going. We only have a little under two weeks to go. Lots of Love Chloë
