After our trip to Central we decided a train to Chowpatty beach was much easier and went there for an excellent lunch.
Yesterday afternoon we did the rest of our walking tour from the Honiman Gardens, past the Town Hall, Police Headquarters, Art Gallery and Museum, then through to the bay of Mumbai and Gateway to India.
We have finally worked out where all the tourists and touts are and were very pleased to find that it is not very close to us! From the Gateway to India you look across to the Taj Mahal, where thousands of people were queuing to have their picture taken next to the heavily guarded police barricade. Repair work is well underway but you still can't get close to the building.
