After my wedding on 21/6/04 in India, me and my frens wanted to go go Kerala for our honeymoon, there was a toatl of 5 couples. So we decided to check out the rates on the internet and keralagreenery website offered a very good rate for the 10 of us. The sales officer proposed a very good honeymoon itnery for us and even created a web link for us. So we made the payment by the net, and the sad part was when i made the payment, the US dollar was high. The Itnery are as follows: Day 01 - Trivandrum ( Travancore Heritage - Heritage seaside resort ) Day 02 - Alleppey ( Houseboat cruise with overnight stay ) Day 03 - Alleppey ( lake Palace - luxury backwater resort ) Day 04 - Cochin ... read more

I will always cherish my memories of our sojourn in Munnar, Kerala for its visual treats and serene surroundings. The nature lover in me easily bonded with the scenery around and left me spell bound in the beauty of the region. Our flight reached Kochi on a balmy afternoon on the 30th of June and we met our friends who were to drive with us to Munnar. As the plane was losing altitude, we got a great aerial view of Kerala below the thick cloud cover. All I remember now is my feeling that this place is ‘too green to be true!’ Our drive up the narrow winding road was bumpy and uncomfortable yet the lush green forest outside the window more than made up for it. Rows of coconut and palm trees dotted the region ... read more

Fort Cochin was a Christian town with huge Chinese Fishing nets and some great seafood. It was all getting a little tricky since I was soon to hace to head up to Delhi to get my flight to Thailand, and Kristen was planning to stay in the South of India for a while. I thought about when to leave, and with the breakfast thought - if I see Dolphins in the bay this morning then I will book a ticket to Delhi - I promptly saw a Dolphin breach the water - there must have been ... read more

2001………..6wks-2nd CYCLING TRIP-2,200kms IN SOUTHERN INDIA 15.9.01 Kovalem (116Km 445Km total by bike) I feel like I've been to hell and back. The ride yesterday got gradually worse with the amount of traffic, fumes and heat. I had to wash my clothes twice. I hate to think what I had to breathe in. I resorted to the mask in the end. I over shot the turnoff and so added an extra 15-20kms. I hope its not going to be like this in all of Kerala. At least with the bike riding, people in buses, trucks, cars and pedestrians cheer me on as I go- just saying hello, smiling. Because it’s off-season, even though the weather is great, I was able to get a room for 3 days for about $10/day. I have a double room with ... read more
