I have left the beaches of Goa and are now in their capital called Panajim, it is a nice old city with left over bildings of when the Portugues rulled here from the 1500-1961!!!! thats some time, they are also all Catholic, so you get to see lots of signs praising Christ and the rest ofthe gang. My hotel manager is a Roman catholic and was telling me all about how the they need strong sanctions of Birth conrol not just in the state of Goa, but in all India, which was surprisingly refreshing. i have visited the old capital old Goa, which had lot of Churches, and even got to see the remains of st Francis xaviour...all very exciting. The most exciting thing was the local bus trip there, there are no rules on the rds here, they like over taking on corners when racing other buses, and they have on coming trafic, i do like that there are femail only areas that you can sit in, and that they pull over and stop where-ever
you like, or whereever is needed, it does make finding your bus stop some what hard, but there is sure to be a bus pasing you on the st soon, that will pick you up.

i kinda lked the beaches side of Goa, but it was terrible touristy, with lots of ex british pats setting up here, so lots of full english breakfasts on hand...and i could only really go to the beach in the early evenings as it was so terrible hot...they are saying it issome hr hottest weather India has ever seen. 90-100's every day which does make going out and seeing things some what hard, all i do is sweat...and drink bottled water...not a lot else...i am moving down the coast to night but bus, i do have a bed but no ac on the bus which could be the breaking of me...

I am not to sure about what is happening in Sri lanka, i visited their office and they said everything was fine, but the papers say a different story and even the Sri lankan cricket team are stuck and not being allowed to board flights home...not sure about me chances of getting in!!! Guess i will just have to wait and see.

Ok i am off to find a museum and sit but their ac duct.
