Greetings, on Remembrance Day! We wore the poppies with pride today, as we toured around the City. Oh what a night.........I loved my Princess Bed!!!! Had a great sleep, and was up and at 'em bright and early this morning. Had a fabulous workout in the fitness facility on the 41st floor of our hotel. Awesome view. Sun was coming up and was bright red in the sky. Had some company up there to... Read Full Entry

Remembrance Day
Attended the Remembrance Day ceremony at West Edmonton Mall and wondered how you travellers were mindful of this day. Thanks to your blog, I know we were united across the miles via a small red symbol in tribute to true heroes. Thoroughly enjoying the pictures and learning about a culture and place I will never vist so thank you. You could tell Jan B that I'll find clothing two sizes larger on e-bay for her return home!

On our way to Viet Nam.......
Hi Judy, Thanks for your note. Yes, we were very mindful of Remembrance Day yesterday. On this trip, it's not just about the travel and geography, and cultures, etc.......it's also about Remembrance Day, U.S. Thanksgiving (I have a number of people in my Green Group who are from various points around the U.S.), birthdays, anniversaries, etc. And hey, Judy, YOU can tell Jan B. about the clothes you will buy for her upon her return......ha ha! I'm not going "there"........LOL

Get away from that chocolate, Noel.
Hi Noel: I'm really enjoying following your trip and Pat's comments and descriptions of sights and things happening are great. The pictures are lots of fun to look at and I can see that you're having a fine time! I'll be checking in every day to see what you're up to next. Cheers from a very, very wet Vancouver Island. Your pal, Jackie

Through all the travels that Mom and Dad B have done, this is by far the best way to experience the trip with them. Thanks so much for keeping us well informed and taking so many great pictures. Darrell and Sue

Kowloon - Peninsula Hotel
Hi Pat. Hope you got a chance to drop by one of the most posh hotels on earth in Kowloon called the Peninsula Hotel. Bill and I went in to "go to the washroom" and of course check things out. Bill said the washroom attendants did everything but wipe his B--. That's a vivid Kowloon memory for me. Very interested in Viet Nam. When you get home you need to read a novel (Canadian author) and Giller prize winner The Time In Between. No book peaked my interest in this fascinating country more. I'll bet Viet Nam will be a highlight. God Speed, Pat. Enjoying your blog. Jill
