Week 5
time is beginning to pass quickly. i spent a lot of my 5th week running workshops in sha tin and kwun tong.
the workshops are going well - first week being slightly slow as i have to try and get to know the kids. Its been great getting back into running workshops and discovering i can still do it quite naturally. managed to plan the next few weeks of sessions for different sets of workshops which ws cool.
had some hilarious performances this week - especially thursday after a long early morning running workshops turned up for lunch and had robin hood in the afternoon - just hilarious.
WEEKEND
rugby sevens.
SUNDAY
plan was to meet at rich and stef's flat at about 8am
woke about half 7 showered and got some music on to wake me up and put me in the mood! 7:45am had a beer - good start!
grabbed beers and headed to wan chai. shopped at a 'welcome' with rich bought everything we needed for a fry up!
stef cooked shit loads of food which set us up for the day.
beer were opened and we headed out to the
stadium!
i didnt have a ticket o after we met ed and his wife we walked up to the entrances where the touts were.
liverpudlian guy tried to sell me one for $1000HKD - er...no. got him down to $550 - woop woop!
we headed in and went straight for the south stand - the party zone! people were dressed up, singing, dancing - and all before 11am!
massive jugs of beer were purchased and got straight down to partying!! the matches were quick and exciting - deciding each match who we were supporting and shouting ourselves hoarse each match :D
wales vs scotland was hilarious as stef's scottish and i was supporting wales.
we met soo many people either side and aroudn us
- guy infront who now has invited us to play gaelic football.
- woman in front who for some reason enjoyed giving me her pie
- pink ladies
- guys in skin tight red outfits
- avatars
- axel rose (also a nob head)
england lost which was rubbish
final samoa vs new zealand!
Samoa won which was wicked!!!
oh and the best chant of the day "STAND UP - IF YOU
HATE THE FRENCH" - gotta love british casual racism.
end of the night big fireworks over the stadium.
met up with some other ugys on the way out and headed to wan chai to continue the seemingly endless drinking.
after a couple of drinks out and realising it was only half 8 we decided to find some more beer (bought from 7 eleven's to make it dirt cheap) and then look for a place to dance!
headed to dusk till dawn at about half 10 - more beers naturally.
at around 5:30am headed to find a chicken tikka kebab and then a taxi home - the taxi driver teaching me how to say very rude phrases (after he made me shout them out the window loudly for his own amusement)...got in about 6:30 and slept for at least 2 hours before the world woke up and the sounds of urgent construction removed me from my slumber.
pictures attached from the day!!
was an amazing experience. it was one massive party - probably the best day i have spent in hong kong.
got quite an easy week ahead - probably a few days off as i
am working all weekend in a few weeks. just going to have to rehearse cinderella with mike as he is playing the king and fairy godfather in our show on saturday - rubbish working on a weekend but its a fun show!!
new weeks new stuff!
Starting what will hopefully be a month of detox - no alcahol for a while i think!
going to the gym regularly and going on a massive health kick - getting ready for the summer! hard partying ahead!!
right - update done - see what interesting shizz i can get into this week on a tight budget!!
personal training session this friday - see how much work i've put in!
love to everyone at home as always
