Me and the fam
right before we met real monkeys So maybe "yesterday" wasn't the highlight of the trip if you think that getting mobbed by wild monkeys is ten times better. Especially if you're Celina or Tony, who probably has rabies by now. When we were on Mount Emei, we decided to see the monkeys- where of course you could feed them and play with them. In my mind, I thought, "Awwww cuteee monkeys like curious george!!" which ended up being, of course, false. When we finally made it to the monkey site (after at least an hour of walking up and down stairs) I was scared. Apparently the monkeys were more wild than normally, and a few people already got injured by the time we got there. And I thought I had it bad when the monkey started to climb on me- reaching for the food packet that I had in my hand. Who would have guessed that two of our own would get bitten (Tony) and scratched/ punctured (Celina) by a huge monkey! As they both didn't realize that they were injured, since as the monkey bit Tony and didn't ruin his jeans, but poked a hole in Celina's jeans, neither of them felt pain. But to double

the only picture of me with one while smiling. check to see if they were injured, Tony decided to pull his jeans down right there and then, for everyone to see, that he was in fact bleeding. And Celina was scared- but of course would never pull her pants down in public, went to the bathroom to check, as there was a hole in her leg and the area around it was turning purple... They got shots, and went to the hospital/clinic... three different times that day, costing them a lot more than they bargained for.
