Three families travelled as far north as possible in China and ended up very close to the Russian border. We could see Russia far off in the distance. We had one crazy tour guide.... If you could call him that.... And that is really being very nice. One very interesting border control that wasn't even the border. Drank a variety of different vodkas and beers. We saw a very rocking Rock band and ate a whole sheep. All of the kids got sick, except one and one of the mums joined the kids. The odd tour guide wanted us to collaborate with him on a new Tourism Guide for the area and let me tell you know....that won't be happening any time soon. One of the dads learnt not to fall asleep in public otherwise
you might get covered with tiny bits of paper.September 30thWe caught the fast train from Nanjing to Beijing. Then a flight from Beijing to Hailar arriving at 21:45.The city was lit up and looked very new with wide streets and huge statues. We checked in and then went for a walk to explore. We found a bar open. We could only see lights flashing until we opened the door.It was so loud. There was a Chinese rock/punk band playing.<br style="color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-family:

People were buying them beers and they would gulp it down in one hit. We wanted to buy some beers for them just so we could see them do it again. We couldn't hear ourselves talking but it was really cool. We stayed and had a few drinks. When we left our ears where ringing but it was well worth it.
