It’s my 2nd time to Guizhou, this time is not only for traveling. One of my friends asked me to go as a volunteer to take photos of poverty students, who live along Mountains. Studying at Hope Primary Schools. 2 Hope primary Schools, 102 students in total. Some of them are living to inside or top of mountain, even no road for Car can. We have to walk or climb mountains for going inside. It’s will be a hard trip.Most of children of those villages that we visited are orphan; the villages are called orphan villages. Those children are living deeply insides of mountains. For some villages, we have to walk inside. No road for cars.We were 3 cars going, 12 people for 80 more kids. The original plan was 7 days. Guizhou is the poorest province in China. People mainly live based on original farming, Plowing via water buffaloes/. It’s really difficult for them to go outside. Their views are nice, similar as Yunnan, and more natural. I was told that have to pay attentions of words when talking with those children before arriving. Some of those kids were abandoned. There are not good medical treatments of those villages. Most of villages still believe in their traditional Miao’s medical treatment
, believe in magic and herbal medicine. Woven die easy when gave birth of a baby or sick, their husband do not want take heave task of taking care of the baby and leave the family. One parent work outside for making money, and not come back. Or t the mother married another man. Setting up her new family… They are kinds of cruelty true stores. Most of those kids are living with their grandparents.We have to care of our speaking, they already enough.We were separated to 6 small groups, 1 in charge of interview and anther for photos. 1 group with 1 teaches.Here are some students are most inspiration to me..1. There are only 3 home applicants: lamp, very small black and white TV set, and 1 broken telephone. He grandfather is 75 years old. Parents died for ill. A very shy boy, standing aside, not dares to speak with us until we sharing candies with him.
Grandfather told us that he already 75 years olds. This kid will alone after him gone. He is very poor child. And him study is good. I looked at their kitchen, almost empty, except some sweet potato.2. The whole family, we had a good time that as I remember. The 3rd kid, he said that he doesn’t need our helping hand at this moment, he still believes that him father will back during the CNY holiday. We respect him, do not public him information on Internet. Him father wrote a letter to him mother said that he had found a job in Guangdong on 2 years ago. Mentioned that he would back to cerebrate CNY holiday, but have not mentioned the precise year. CNY holiday cycles each year. I do love this boy, it’s only narrow mountain road to him home. It took us around 30 minutes of non-stop driving motorbike, cross 2 mountains. The teacher told me that he is a sensible student, and good at all subjects. He needs to walk around 2 hours to go school every school day, but ever late, no matter summer or winner, cloudy or rainy. The 1st class is started at 7:00am. He has to leave home around 5am.
He was not stop helping him mother for housework when we met him. Him father had not came back last year. Him mother and he believe that he would back this year. I: Do u think that u need our helping hands now?The boy: I think I ‘m happy to have my mother and younger sister. It’s fine.…. And my father will back during CNY holiday, and we will rich at that time.We gave he some Candy, he gave 1 to her mother 1st, and put the rest into pocket. I ask him why he kept and din't try 1st?The boy: I want to keep them for my sister. She would be very happy for that. I have back to the city for quite a while; those faces are deeply in my mind. We all do not have right to choose our parents. Those kids are underneath suffering. it ‘s normal relations in those village, their mind will make their new generations continue suffering as this generation， if no improving of educations, How can we let those people know about “responsibility”?
