Dancing up a storm.
Longtooth was the name that we gave to one of the Bulungula ladies who was not only one of the respected elders, but also the life of the party! She made us all feel welcome in her village and encouraged us to get amongst the festivities by drinking, dancing and basically throwing away our pre conceived ideas and letting go our inhibitions. She took a particular liking to Dani, continually making sure she had a tin of goats milk or shot of tequila and if she wasn't smoking the pipe or spliff herself she was up leading the song and dance troupe! She was certainly the oldest party animal we'd ever met! As a token of our friendship and appreciation Dani and I gave her our white beaded necklace which had already attracted a lot of attention as traditionally only elders and songormas (witch doctors) wear white beads. She was very humble with her new beads and at first scared of the camera, but when she realised she could see herself she was ecstatic and ran off telling all her friends and showing them her new beads.
