Mukluks Village and Camel ride to Baboon Cave.After breakfast we set out to Baboon cave about a 1 hour drive.The camel ride is was very interesting. The movement of the camel was very hypnotic. At first, I tried to keep straight and ridged. Then I saw my daughter sunk back relaxed and her leg over the saddle. So I tried her approach. Relaxed and legs crossed over the saddle. It was surprisingly better.It was very dry as the camels trekked to the Cave. At the mouth of the cave down below us we could see the Maasai with their goats feeding on the grass.
The Maasai are easy to spot wearing the red tartan fabric.<br style="color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-family: wf_segoe-ui_normal, 'Segoe UI', 'Segoe WP', Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;
line-height: normal;">On the way back from the cave we stopped at the Mukluks Village.The village had about 5 mud brick round houses. There was a fence made of sticks that surrounded the houses, making it like a walled city. There was a gate way that they would close at night because of wild animals.We went on a tour of one of the houses. It was very dark inside. These houses weren't as creative as the others we had seen but it was bigger.We bought a few bits of craft that they were selling, a quick photo and then we continued on to get back for lunch.We didn't realize that there was a tented lodge at this location and it would have been good to stay for the night. The weather was good
and we would have had a great view of the stars.We stopped off in town at a arts market on the way home.Up until now we have managed to give away most of the items that we had bought with us. We traded watches, sun glasses, jewelry and food for various items. At the previous market a young man wanted my hat to exchange for some souvenir items. At this market a lady wanted my shoes. She was willing to give me a huge canvas painting of an elephant. It was very tempting but what would in put on my feet? Was I going to walk barefoot?It was all a little too strange..... <br style="color:
