Dear Blog Fans far & near, We are back in Kilosa for a short while, staying again with our terrific host family and homecooked TZ delights to savor. We had a great time shadowing with Mike & Nancy. Now we understand some of the challenges we will face. We will be here until Monday, Aug. 18 when we move to MATI. We'll just be there for swearing-in and we are practicing the TZ national anthem. Then, it's moving day. Look on your atlas or globe for 4 degrees, 38'South and 38degrees, 17'East and you see where we will be spending the next 2 years. The region is Tanga, Lushoto is the closest town, and the village 30 km north (or 1 hr via bus) is Malindi. We have yet to see it on a map, but after we've been there, it will be a dot on the map. No one has been to our village before; I mean PC so we are beginning a health program. There is a couple PCV education who are teaching at a secondary school 18 km from our village and even they hadn't heard of it. Then, 2 of our classmates will be in the same region, but at least an hour away. We were told no electricity, but it's site unseen at this point! There is an internet cafe in Lushoto and that will be our banking town so we'll probably make a day of it. So, keep tuned for the next exciting episode. We can't wait to be on our own again...after 46 yrs of togetherness, these past months have been busy, but on somebody else's schedule. Soon we'll be in our own location. Thanks for reading our ramblings. Love you all! Dave & Wendy
