Sherri had hurt her foot, so she brought along a camp chair - what a hoot, the kids LOVED the chair, its pockets and the fact that it brought them down to their level. Look at all the different hairstyles the kids have.

The San people were so joyous - they played games all afternoon, invited us, but seemed to be really enjoying playing with each other. They were tossing a melon, which had to be caught one-handed. They NEVER dropped it.

On a hike in Grootberg we startled these two beauties. 'Kip' is rock and Afrikaans and 'springer' is jumper; they are only found in hill/mountainous areas

Yep, we set up our tent right under a sociable weavers nest. These nest can be over 100 years old. Jack was afraid to put his socks out to drive because these birds stuffed all kinds of things into the nest

I don't usually read much of your blogs... They are so interesting but long. But this one really was good. Camping in the bush was really interesting. Pictures were great!
