Hello again!

It is now the afternoon of December 22nd and we have arrived in Swakopmund, which is where we will be until the 26th.

The last few days have been pretty uneventful, as we have spent most of our time driving into Namibia.
Swakopmund is awesome so far! I really like it. It is most German speaking, and looks like the biggest and most modern town we have been in yet. It also looks like there are some great Seafood places here, which is pretty exciting! We spent one of our nights at bush camp decorating the truck, so we are now an enormous yellow truck driving around with tinsel hanging everywhere from it - we don't stand out at ALL!

Because of the decorations, and being in a bigger city where people are Xmas shopping, and there are Christmas Carols playing it feels a lot more like Christmas...which makes me miss home A LOT

I have signed up for some Sandboarding and Quadbiking here, which takes place tomorrow.
We are also doing a "secret santa" exchange on the truck, and will get a chance to do some shopping here over the next couple of days.

Thats pretty much all for me to say! 17 days left and I will be back in Canada!!!
Missing everyone very much!

no HO
Denise ain't a HO Pia!!!!! Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas! Just an update on our office jungle. Lots and lots of CHOCOLATE and cookies every day!(Lawyers trying to butter us up). You picked a fine time to go to Africa. Your 1:30 "I feel like some chocolate" would be easily gratified this time of year. Swakopmund... that was a song by the Guess Who wasn't it? 'Running Back to Swakopmund'. Mark wishes you a Merry Christmas (He told us yesterday he is going Christmas shopping the afternoon of the 24th). From all of us, especially ME have a VERY Merry Christmas Denise! Take care.

German Christmas in Africa
Well this is definitely a first! Being in Canadian, in a German town, on the continent of Africa, in the country of Naimbia, located near the South Pole, celebrating a holiday that is based on a major historic event that ocurred in the middle east, which has evolved to have a North Pole association - wow! We are thinking of you, and saving your gifts, plus leaving the tree up until you get home. Merry Christmas to you and Brittany! We will revive Christmas celebrations when you get home. Love Dad and Mom

Merry X'mas
Hi Denise: Grandma and I are just having a cup of tea and thinking about you. Its Boxing Day and later we all will be going to Wally and Sherry's for our X'mas. Grandma says- I'm enjoying my Christmas's, lots of parties. When I look at Sharon's scales, will be glad when its all over. Will be happy to see you when you get home, but I'm sure its a great experience. We all talked to your Mum and Dad yesterday, and they were just going out for a walk on the Bay. Love Grandma Wilker Aunt Sharon, and Uncle Glen
