The blue city, Chefchaouen There are incredible advantages to being in the northeast of Morocco. It is hot, but not nearly as hot as the south. We are near both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. We are close to the Tangier ferry which can take us to Spain (in 35 minutes) and Italy. We are close to the capital of Morocco, Rabat. Our new Greek friend is going to take us to the water fall.

Ann, forced to take yet another photo!

Believe it or not, this road leads to a waterfall!

I just love the doorways here in Chaouen!

The softly painted alleyways call you to explore them!

Walking toward the waterfall... it is in the mountain pictured.

A delightful cafe, overlooking a babbling brook.

The colors in Chaouen are striking and very pleasing.

Who wouldn't want to walk down this little street?

We begin to see the water from the falls... well, actually falling. :)

Still following the brook... now a stream.

Completely cool water decoration... family of rock stars! LOL!

A mini fall on the way to the mama!

More and more streams are coming down around us.

How cool is this cafe table?!?!?! (We wanted to stop on the way back and have coffee, but a family was occupying it)

This is a laundry station, built by the city for people to come clean their clothes in the running water.

Notice the rugs... the roof is PRIME drying space!

Cooling the water and sodas with water from the stream.

If you look carefully, you will see black hoses running from the stream into the buckets (containing drinks for sale) next to the wall. The vendor uses the very cold moving water to naturally cool his drinks. SMART!
