It was good to leave Uganda behind, it was strange how we kept having to traverse through Kampala and Jinga, it seemed that we were travelling without going anywhere. Kenya is a complete surprise all the time. We must be completely ignorant of what to expect so are constantly amazed at what we experience.
Any way back to the story.. Into Kenya and headed towards lake Bogoria.. Magic drive up and down mountains all day with a max altitude of 2390mtrs.. In one day we have passed through something that reminded us of English countryside, followed by a huge escarpment, then something that looked like the Gammon Ranges, followed by a Desert area, and finishing with an area that was in flash flood. Houses completely surrounded by water. Crazy country.
Lisa started to get a headache from going up and down the altitude thus we made a bee line for the first place near the lake.. Well bugger me I do the deal and ask about the hot showers and the lady mentions that there is a hot spring just near where we can camp.. no need for any more story a relaxing time was had watching huge storms pass
Nice View
Just thought you all would like this one by over our head, cold head from the rain warm body from the spring.
There is one other interesting thing about this camp site, Ostriches!! We have had just about everything to contend with whilst attempting to camp but these guys were different. They make emus look small!! Hmmm!
