For my 2009 birthday my mother and I went to Egypt. We arrived on the 6th June in Luxor, where we spent 2 days exploring. We then took a flight via Ciro to Sharam El-Shaykh where we took a taxi to Dahab For 4 days Dahab was our base allowing us to go to Mount Sinai, Petra (in Jordan) and snorkeling at the blue hole! It was build by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, it was used for the Opent Fesitval and was dedicated to the Theban Traid

The Valley of the Kings are on the west bank of the nile. From the 15th-11th BC Kings and poverfull nobles were burried here.

Up to date 63 Tombs have been descovered. Inside the tumbs are decorated with scenes form Egyptian Mythology.

We went into tumb no: 2,6 and 43. Tomb of Thutmose IV was descobered in 1903. You are not allowed to take foto's in the tombs!

She was the 5th Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty and died 1458 BC

These are big stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, these are remaines of a temple that used to stand here

We left Luxor and arrived at Sharam El-Sahykh, form there we took a taxi to Dahab about 2h drive
