Same Pictures - Different Photographers

When looking at the travel photos pages I often see photographs of the same thing taken at completely different times by different people - might be fun to try and find a few more.

sure is!! Scott saw the picture in Forget 9 to 5's blog and was like HEY!!!! that's the same person. It was a nun actually, and she would do a prayer for you and put a little white string around your wrist and then ask for money. We tried to give her low value Cambodian Riel and all she would say was "Dollar, Dollar" in this creepy crackly voice. Reply to this

Ah, the ubiquitous temple tout! They're the worst, even though I'm not religous i do feel kinda mocked and cheated when, respectfully visiting a temple or place of worship, I get lured into a ritual/ceremony that's only purpose is to relieve me of my money! Still, I went to the above temple and did not see this "Nun", got lucky that time I guess! Reply to this

I did find a few others in some different temples that were more legit. There was one older woman who just wanted to practise English with me and talked with me for about 10 minutes after giving me a prayer. It's nice to meet the ones who are geniune! Reply to this

In 1997 I spent a few days in Bosnia and Herzegovina. That was right at the end of the war and there was damaged houses everywhere. In 2010 I went back and visited the same two cities, Mostar and Sarajevo, once more. Just for the fun of it I located my old photos from 13 years ago and went to the same places and took photos of the same objects again to see the difference.

The blog entries are Sarajevo, follow this link and Mostar, follow this link.

The before and after photos I published are the following

Given how good the viewpoint is, multiple photos of Cliff Palace are pretty common. This pair is almost idendical: similiar lighting, similiar composition, and both contain tour groups (on the far right) at exactly the same spot!
