How many do you have?

How many pairs of shoes do you have? Do you find it difficult to say goodbye to them when you go travelling? How many pairs do you take with you when you travel? Is it absolutely necessary to take that many pairs of shoes with you?

I'm retired so I live in casual easy wash clothes all the time. I have three pairs of Rockport shoes, they are identical, bought them in a half price sale but only take one pair with me. Also take one pair of thongs (flip flops) for the shower and that's it. Reply to this

I usually take two pairs + my tap shoes. One of the two pairs are usually shoes I leave behind when flying home and I often leave them at a place where someone can find them and take them, if they want them (they're usually in pretty good shape). This is actually a family tradition, and a lot of fun! We also take a picture of the stuff we leave behind as a memory. Reply to this

Oh and another guy who likes he's sneakers. I recently moved countries permanently and took nearly 40 pairs with me, should I be embarrassed ? Nope, some I have for years and are full of memories... 😊

Traveling though I break one pair of puma sneakers and flip flops, period. The lighter the better right ? Reply to this

About 100 pairs, and 20 in constant rotation.

I usually only bring 1-2 pairs while traveling, because shopping is one of my favorite activities abroad! Reply to this

Ha ha- I'm totally sucked in to this discussion!!!

I have way too many pairs of shoes/ boots/ sandals/ slops/ stilettos at home...I can't even count...over 60 at a guess.

I also travel with way too many pairs of shoes. I am currently in South Africa & have 3 pairs of slops (flip-flops), a pair of boots (for "winter"), a pair of nice sandals for evenings, a pair of trainers, a pair of ballet pumps (for nice outfits). I'm very lucky to have small feet so they all fit into my pack. I do miss my other shoes at times but it's always a nice feeling to get home & wear a different pair of shoes everyday for the first week!

NB. I am currently living by the beach in Africa...I haven't actually worn any shoes for roughly 4 weeks... Reply to this
