Some people are drunks or druggies or gamblers ,I'm a traveller.For 25 years I travelled Australia pretty much nonstop.By 2006 my home was too small so I got my passport.So far I've travelled in New Zealand ,UK ,Germany ,Peru ,Bolivia ,Paraguay ,Uraguay ,Argentina ,Chile ,Ecuador ,Colombia and Panama.
My Colombian wife and I are currently working in Australia but are planning our next adventures.

... read moreSo I went back to Capurgana and it was such a beautiful day ,as the boat was arriving at Capurgana, I looked ashore and realised this is the place I've always dreamt of.I mentioned this to Joey ,the Hawaian owner of my hotel "Darius Cabañas", and he said "let me wet your appetite".We walked a few hundred metres into the jungle behind the hotel and we stopped at this incredible block of land.Cleared with many different fruit trees and fenced off.It is only 800 sq meteres but it is gorgeous.He said I could have this for US$15000.I looked around Capurgana and the only block cheaper was right in the middle of the village.I am now trying to raise the $ to buy this land. ... read moreEl Pais De Amor = The Country of Love I've been a bit lazy so I've got quite a bit of catching up to do.After Medallin I got bus to Monteria ,then to Coveñas.After a day on the beach ,Carrabian, I went to Cartagena.After booking into my hotel n orgonising to get my washing done the hotel asked if I'd like to do a tour of city that afternoon.I said I'd let them know.I went to my room n 5mins later was bored so went downstairs n booked tour. Either way I had the most incredible time in San Gil.I arrived on the Saturday night n booked into a hotel with bathroom ,double bed and cable TV for only $7 a night.Tried to orgonise a bungee jump for the next day but they wouldn't confirm for 1 person so I orgonised a Paragliding flight for the next afternoon.Spent the next morning looking around n had a swim at the Parque Galleneral.At 1pm I arrived at the Paragliding office and within 20mins 5 of us ,the Instuctor ,Isrealli couple ,Colombian girl and I ,were in a car heading up the mountain.When we arrived there were a few other people waiting.There were 3 pilots sharing 2 rigs ,taking people for 20min flights ,only $30.Most people were couples so

I left Guayaquil and headed for Riobamba.I found a decent hotel near the Bus Terminal and this became my base for the last week.I arrived on Sunday to find out that the next train to Alausi and the "Nariz del Diablo" (the Devils Nose) wasn´t until Wednesday. ... read moreJust a quick hello for family ect.Was supposed to leave early morning April 20 but somehow a blow up raft with gas bottle went missing from luggage storage.Noone knew if it had been put on our plane or the Melbourne plane.They had to unload all the luggage but there were no baggage handlers working that late to screen the luggage.They handed out forms and said to wqrite a forwarding address for them to send bags.I said I was changing planes ,in Sydney, for Peru.They said they couldn´t guarantee delivery so I would have to get off plane and organise other flight.
