Well, Jackis is in bali for a week so Sean and I figured we should head out and do some 4wheeling and find a nice spot to camp and have a few drinks. the day started off with a good run in the sand dunes, with the Paj impressing me with its ability to go anywhere I pointed it. (tires at 14psi) then after about 2 hours of playing in the dunes we rocked up to our camp site about 40km north through some 4wd tracks and found a sheltered area in the otherside of the main dune out of the wind. great night, great food, amazing sunset. ... read more

Jackie and I ended up relaxing on the beach to watch the sunset after a long day at work. brought a nice little picnic and enjoyed the sights and sounds. even brought the camera out.... read more
boat
A workmate took me and a few guys out fishing today. started at 6am with loading the boat up and heading out to a few small islands about 30km south of rotto. was a stunning day weather wise, fishing wise... not so much. caught a decent share of fish but nothing big enough to keep. also caught 2 squid, which I took home and fried up, they were delicious. Its a guys weekend out. starting with a late arrival friday night only to begin drinking and being stalked by wildlife.. well not really. more like the possums jsut came to check us out. Work has been going great here in perth, Jackie is cleaning houses and I am welding for razorback constuction. I guess I can add a few more recent updates about work as they are going to sponsor me to stay and work in australia for a longer period of time so we can continue to travel without having to fly home to work 3 months in the cold. its win win for both of us. included are a few photos of the work I have been doing. custom caging for loaders and air tight rescue chambers for underground mines. ... read more

Well, after heading out 4 wheeling once, we decided to head out again. this time armed with sean to run the camera to show that this pajero can really go anywhere. LOL. Well... its been a while since I blogged about anything exciting since we have been working and jsut mostly relaxing on sat/sun or drinking... one or the other. its all good. but this sunday I had a day to myself and met up with the perth 4x4 club. we went out to the powerline track and had an absolute blast out there. a very friendly group of peeps with some amazing vehicles. The track was a good drive. that pajero sure impressed me with how far I could push it. had a few close calls. nothing to bad. a little slip on 1 climb had me sliding backwards on frame while wheels were still trying for traction. the other was a steep climb with about a 3-4 foot exit height of steep sand that would of ... read more
