I had quite an adventure driving to Boston. I experienced rush hour traffic on the New Jersey/ New York bridge in Manhattan. I counted five accidents in this short stretch. It was crazy. I had decided beforehand not to stop in New York City, since I had been there before. I was happy with my decision. It was a beautiful when I arrived in Boston. I checked into my hotel and decided to roam around the city. Quincy Market was buzzing with people everywhere. The Harbor was quiet and peaceful. I stumbled on a brochure for a free city tour [View Full Entry]

So much for filling you in on Boston :) Ok, thinking back 3 weeks.... Yeah, so got down to Boston where I spent a few nights, walked around the city, checked out a couple of bars, Red Sox Stadium- cool place. Then went down to New York. WOW. What can I say? Unbelievable.. Still not sure what I thought of it. No, it was amazing, although I definatley couldn't live there, too quiet ;) Nah, got down there on the Wednesday and after picking up my jaw from the pavement, did alot of cool things. SORRY but the computer I'm on [View Full Entry]

Boston is beautiful. We stayed in the fenway area which was a bit of a student type place. It felt strange wearing a coat, hat and gloves after comming from fiji, although Dave loved the cold again. We arrived early in the morning just in time for breakfast, which was great as the American airline didn't feed us and we were starving. The hostel does an all you can eat breakfast of bagels and cereal which means we never went hungry, although we did get sick of the sight of bagels. We didn't really do much on the day we arrived [View Full Entry]

This year, having just come back from another exciting city, Kenny and I have decided that we needed to start being tourists in our own home Boston. I've been doing a lot of getting to know my city better with my friend Susan. This month we went to the Boston Ballet to see Jewels, which was VERY good and neat to dress up and have a nice evening out that didn't involve massive quantities of alcohol. This year I decided that come hell or high water I was going to make it to the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Southie(which is [View Full Entry]

So, little birds have been dropping hints in my ear that people are missing the last entry from London. . . .and basically this blog has gone cold. I understand, I am really the best entertainment around these days and I've left you all high and dry on a cliffhanger of an ending. hahahaha So I am just going to give a quick update and I promise by the end of this weekend I'll get this sorted. Basically the last day I was in London I typed up this nice entry and I started loading the pictures from Christmas all the [View Full Entry]

At last, the day is here. After seventeen long years of anxiously awaiting a return to the land of my father, I depart for New Zealand. My bags are packed, my hopes are high, my Dramamine is safely stored in an accessible pocket, the Ipod is charged, and the Butterfields are ready to hit the skies. After many years of hardship and missed opportunities, nothing stands in our way. Aeoteoroa awaits. (Aeoteoroa is Maori for "Land of the Long White Cloud," and it is the Maori name for New Zealand). This blog will be updated as much as possible with [View Full Entry]

Brian and I first met when he was a sophmore at the University of New Hampshire and I was a first-year at Simmons College. Since then we've been together for nearly 5 1/2 years which saw me transferring to UNH and then moving back to Boston for grad school while Brian stayed on the Seacoast of NH. During these years we've been fortunate enough to travel to many different places some close some far away and we plan to do more. Our favorite trip so far was to Ireland last March with a few of our friends despite my magnificent crash [View Full Entry]
