After 3 whole days of constant heavy rain, winds and fog, the good weather is finally here. Yesterday was our first ... read more

For the first time in 10 years we spent the summer at Sauble - it was busy but lots of fun with several visits with Kim, James and Lukas; then the Canadian 'rewedding' of Pat and Claire with a pig roast and 60+ guests; and the birth of our second grandson Joshua as the highlights. Late in October we set off on a road trip with friends Ross and Brenda for a golfing and biking holiday - first for a week in Virginia, then Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for 2 weeks - followed by a week back in Fort Pierce, Florida to check on Gust O'Wind. Remember to left click on the first photo to get into the slide show.... read more

We left Titusville and motored south into the wind. The ICW was fairly choppy and the waves even splashed onto our front windows. We stopped at Dragon Point as planned and had a quiet evening. Today we still had south winds. Both days we saw lots of sailboats taking advantage of those south/southeast winds by heading north with filled sails. The wind became more easterly and we saw sailboats sailing in both directions. We always claimed to have a slow boat, but today we were actually passed by a sailboat. Late this afternoon we tied up at Ft. Pierce City Marina where we were visited by Kerry’s nephews, Jim and Jon. We had a great time talking and laughing and ate dinner together at the Tiki restaurant on the dock. It was sure great to see ... read more

... read more

Fort Pierce and Vero Beach Our stay on the "east coast" of Florida was fun, if chilly, and went by all too quickly. We hooked up with friends from home and had a little bar-b-que at the Holiday Out Beach/Pool complex across A1A via tunnel from where the RV site was. We also hied ourselves (girls' shopping) up to Verro Beach while the guys played golf. We found several upscale boutiques including Blondies and Pathington's in the beach area of Vero Beach. I found a vey cool dress on sale - you'll see it at the track in August. "Blondie" at Blondie's sent us to Gallery 14 on 14th St. in the historic downtown area of Vero Beach. An opening reception was in full swing - many of the "14" artists who belong to the gallery ... read more
