Hello from Sunny Southern California!! Well the trip from LA to San Diego was kinda crazy. Los Angeles is freakin huge! It took us most of the day to get from the Aglago (silverlake) house, to Long Beach. Not the prettiest of riding, stip malls and urban spawl... but once we got to Orange County, it got a little nicer. We also did not make it to Camp Pendelton Marine Corps base in time to ride through. You can only ride bikes on the base from 9:30am to 3:30 pm and nowhere to camp nearby. Lucky for us Garby and Maureen were waiting for us at Brian, Roth and Ackers house in Oceanside, about 10 miles south of Pendelton. So Garby drove up and got us. APRIL 22, 2007 I ran La Jolla Half marathon on my 56th birthday. This course runs along Torrey Pines Park past Del Mar and into the village of La Jolla. Many people saw my birthday race shirt (Today is my 56th Birthday. Cool, huh?) and wished me a Happy Birthday which made the celebration even more special. I took a nice long bath at my friend Cathy’s house and was later surprised by the gathering of my buddies waiting to wish me good cheer! It´s been far too long since my last blog entry. But for once we´ve been quite busy... Our first stop in the USA was L.A. We spent a couple of nights in a hostel in Venice. Venice Beach is a fun place with crazy people everywhere. Moreover it isn´t as posh and superficial as many other places in L.A. After the long flight from Sydney to L.A. we suffered from Jetlag. It was quite a funny experience. We woke up in the middle of the night, couldn´t fall asleep and were hungry at weird times. Due to our jetlag and Philipp´s cold we didn´t do much the first couple of days. Once we felt better, we rented bikes and rode them along the Pacific Coast. Aamulla herätyskellon pärähdettyä Mexico Cityssä, viskattiin rinkat selkään ja lähdettiin respaan tilaamaan taksia lentokentälle. Samalla tuli kysäistyä olisiko metro halvempi matkustaa. Kyllähän se oli, joten kirmattiin lähimmälle metroasemalle. Lentokentän pysäkillä sitten todettiin, että ei se metro tullutkaan ihan kentälle asti, vaan jäätiin vajaaksi kilometrin pari. Samalla päästiin kokemaan aitoa kuplataksi-tunnelmaa, koska meidän piti heiluttaa sellainen päästäksemme ajoissa kentälle. Kentällä check-in meni yllättävän nopeasti, joten ehdittiin muuttaa tulevia lentoja siinä ohessa. Otettiin Dallas meidän reissu-suunnitelmasta pois ja siirrettiin siitä vapautunut aika Kaliforniaan. Ei se JR kuulemma enää hengaile Dallasissa päin, joten mitäs me siellä tehtäis.. Lento Los Angelesiin ei mennyt suoraan, vaan jouduttiin vaihtamaan konetta Dallasissa. Bonjour, Le temp file, le jours 2 et le jour 3 sont deja passes. Jour 2 on a apris quelques strategies de chanelling et l'entrepreneurship, et aujourd'hui on en a appris le "momentum trading" et le "buy and hold" ainsi que des facons, legales et ethique de payer moins d'impots :-) Ce soir c'etait l'introduction aux marche etranger. demain la suite ainsi que l'immobilier. 13 heures hier, une pause (60 minutes), 13 heures aujourd'hui une pause (35 minutes!) C'est tres intense et tres interessant! Demain dernier jour du seminaire. J'aurai ENORMEMENT de materiel a comprendre et tester. A+... read more
