So leider ist es schon eine Weile her, als ich das letzte Mal “geblogt” habe. Somit habe ich nun sehr viel Schreibarbeit vor mir, da wir in den letzten Tagen bzw. Wochen relative viel erlebt haben. Wie im letzten Blogeintrag noch erwaehnt, sind wir also nach einem 13stuendigen Flug in L.A. angekommen. Mir machte die Zeitverschiebung und die schlechte Luft im Flugzeug zu schaffen und ich war die ersten zwei Tage krank im Bett. Als ich mich dann wieder etwas gefangen hatte, haben wir am dritten Tag Bikes gemietet und sind am Meer entlang gefahren (war wie bei Baywatch, irgendwie cool). Am naechsten Tag dann, gingen wir auf Promi-Jagt. Zuerst fuhren wir mit einem Touristenbus durch L.A. und sahen uns die Stadt an. We landed in LAX at 2pm on the 2nd May having left Fiji at 10pm on the 2nd May! It required all of my powers to convince Amy that it was just a regular plane rather than a fancy time travelling machine! Our hotel was in Downtown LA. It was called the Ritz, but unfortunately it was not the Ritz Carlton but the Ritz Milner. That said, the room was small but cosy and it had a TV and a hot shower! We only had 15 days in America and had sorted out a hire car for 10. We only spent 1 whole day in LA and we headed straight for Hollywood to see the Sign and the Walk of Fame. **FYI, LeAnne wrote the blog, & Natalie commentaried the pics... Hey EVERYONE! Yep, it's us again hollerin' from good ol' Eureka, California. A lot has happened since the last blog....let's see, that was 2 days ago. Well we will begin in Bend, Oregon. Natalie and I had spent a good two days there checking out the parks and visiting with Marja, my guiding buddy from Alaska. Our scheduled departure date would be that Saturday afternoon, an hour before my other buddy Julie would arrive in Bend. It just seemed right to stick around a little longer to visit with her too, so we decided to stay another night. I'm glad we did.
