We flew back to LA this morning at 8am so another early start but it meant we had a full day in LA. Left LA very early on Friday 4th May to take the car back to the airport and get our flight to Vegas. Decided to fly to Vegas rather than drive as the flights were dead cheap and it only takes an hour. Flew over the desert and was then dazzled by the bright lights that form the notorious Veags strip. Today we were booked on a LA city tour taking us to all the sights of LA, the celebrity hang outs and houses! I hadn't realised how massive LA is, there are so many different suburbs ranging from the ganglands downtown to Bel Air and Beverly Hills (90210!). Made it to Los Angeles yeasterday! Checked into our hotel and a few hours sleep whilst waiting for Jess to arrive. She arrived at about 7pm and we spent the whole evening chatting and having a good girlie catch up which was great! Finally stopped talking and went to bed about midnight. This morning, we got up and decided to go to Dennys for breakfast. Its like a diner sort of place and the place was packed so the breakfast must be good. A short entry so the blog is completely up to date. I hate it when i fall behind. Arrived yesterday in Auckland after my flights Darwin to Brisbane and Brisbane to Auckland. As i only have a night here and am sad to leave Australia and a certain aussie i decided to book into a fairly nice airport hotel to treat myself! The hostel thing didn't appeal tonight. I'm back! Sorry for the delay in the blogging! I know some of you have been wanting the next entry to help distract you from your work, so here goes! It is so nice to be in one place and not keep moving hostel to hostel! Having such a good time staying with andrew in Katherine. Katherine is a small town, but has pretty much got everything you need. Anything extra you need, people tend to drive up to Darwin regularly and get stuff there. Life here is certainly more relaxed than back home....... we do stress too much!! So i'm back in the land of OZ. Met Andrew at the airport in Darwin and spent a couple of days seeing the city and meeting his friends. It is so seriously hot, nice to have some sun again! But no doubt i'll be moaning about the temperature again soon - thats the english way or the 'whinging pom' way as the aussies would say! Spent some time exploring the shops of Darwin and then went to a jumping crocodile show just outside Darwin. You get on a small metal boat and go out along the Adelaide River. So a sad goodbye to NZ but more so sad to say goodbye to Helen and Chris as we have had the best time together! We had a lovely meal at the Sky Tower last night, 328 metres above ground level. The Sky Tower is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. I initially thought our hostel was cool but it turned out to be a bit of a 18-30's party last night.
