Well it's 3 days before I leave Old Blighty and set off on my travels. I've spent the last few days at my parents house sorting out the last minute things... student loan, banking details, malaria tablets... the list goes on, but it's boring so I'll stop. The remaining days have been filled with both excitement and nervousness. My last week in Guildford was spent as a series of going out sessions, I never knew so many people cared! Coming to a climax with a Friday night out in Guildford that will always be know as the White Russian night. I wouldn't mind but I'm not even going to Russia on my world tour. Sorry couldn't think of an interesting title, this time! Anyway how is everyone? Long time no see! I know!! LOL!!!! Anyway, I say anyway alot don't I! Anyway LOL!!! Well yes I have moved from sunny old Wigan....I'm currently residing in a YHA hostel in Manchester!!! Why I have I moved you might ask....well I needed to move really....I couldn't handle the 2hrs to work and the 2hrs back...and that was on a good day...Sometimes it would take me 3 or 4hrs to get home!! YECK!!! So begone long days...behold short days!!....Yup it now takes me approx 20mins to get to work...HOW COOL IS THAT!!!! I arrived into Manchester early afternoon so only had a few hours to go sightseeing. I had been to Manchester only once before and had seen most of the town centre, the main shopping area and the observation wheel so this trip i decided i would catch a train and go somewhere. Where, i wasn't sure but would decide at the train station. Our hotel was conveniently at the airport anyway so i made my way to the lower floor to the station. I had enough time to go anywhere within 2-3 hours away so decided on going to the Lakes District. Apparently the scenery is really beautiful and there are many small villages throughout. I first fly out to Columbo via Dubai where I'll stay here for 6 nights visiting my Sri Lankan friend Saj. Then on the 5th December I set off to Sydney via Bangkok where I'll be landing in Sydney on the 6th December. I'll stay in Sydney until the new year where I'll plan to party, see friends and climb the sydney harbour bridge. After New years I then plan on buying a coach ticket via Greyhound and travelling the country. 26th March is when i fly out again from Sydney landing back in Bangkok where I'll tour as much as SE Asia as I can, working my way down to Singapore and then back to Bangkok again.
