Well, it's been a year working as a waitress and my professional job in HR. Next Friday is my final pay day and my last day at work!!! I can not wait. It became so real when I handed in my notice. So, I have 3 weeks to go and have pretty much everything sorted. I have a more few things to buy and currency to order. Once that's done I'm on my way! First stop Fiji......I wanted to choose somewhere totally random where not a lot of people would go. Hmmmm turns out I'm not so imaginitive, as it seems like Fiji is everyone's stop on a round the world trip, and they have even set a celebrity game show there!!! Oh well, I still can't wait. The plan is to learn to Scuba Dive ... read more

I am sat in work getting this travelblog ready for Bec and I, so I can send the address round to my mates, and generally being excited about going and wishing I wasn't in work! We fly off next monday 7th November, at around 2pm, and arrive in Beijing at 10am the following morning. 3 friends from uni are also going to be there when I arrive, so I will be able to catch up with them as well. We fly out of Bangkok on the 30th March. Then off to Australia for a month or so, before finally making it to New ... read more

Well.... those that are familiar with (or have vague recollections of) the messy kickstart that is the Roxanne drinking game, will be pleased to note the realisation, testing and subsequent resounding success of the tequila drinking game.... if you can, download - terrorvision 'tequila'...its a 4 minute and 10 second long rollercoaster ride (as in puking off the side) containing 41 mentions of the word 'tequila'..and guess what....that means 41 sips of tequila...the initial plan was for 41 shots but halfway there and the local ER imploded....as did our stomachs...out through our mouths...not one for the faint hearted but as with the Roxanne drinking game this is bound to liven up any gathering, taking you that few steps further...most likely in the direction of the toilet..... So anyhow.. ...this week was the week that was....lucky...it always ... read more

We caught the fast train from Munich back to Franfurt today, then a flight to Manchester. The Flight was a bit bumpy, and I was quite glad to get off! Our first glimps of Manchester was beneath the clouds, a bit rainy and overcast. After speeding through customs, and bearing in mind our flight was early, we got to arrivals and Alison and Peter weren't there!! "Oh no" we thought, but after finding the nearest toilets, they arrived and all was well. Ricky the dog was also there to pick us up, as he likes to plane spot! We had fish n chips for dinner, and Mick was asked if he wanted 'scraps' - which is the fallen off bits of batter in the oil, which they scoop out and give to people while they are ... read more

Right, well this will be the last time (for a while) that I'll be able to post photos on my blog as my camera got stolen last night at the Em Dee gig. shmeh. Shit happens. HOWEVER, the gig was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Although it may be hard to imagine, I danced harder than I ever have before (had a dance-off with Lukas too- he seems to have just as much energy as I do!) I also saw and said g'day to the Panda Band- a band from Perth who know a mate of mine, Jeff Strong- and I told them to say g'day to him as I drank my Little Creatures Pale Ale. :) I tell you what! It was the most Australian night I've had in ages! And I loved it! :) That was because ... read more

Um... how to put this...? ...I've been offered a record deal in London. :P After playing one song on Lila (my only original song with words!) at an open mic in front of industy professionals, I was approached by a guy called Mike Dixon who manages bands like Ron Sexsmith and The Spinto Band (whoever those people are! :)- actually i've hear of the sexsmith guy, he's pretty big) and he just started raving about my song and how he'd like me to come and hang out in London to so some recording! I told him about Double Entendre and how I was actually better at playing the drums than the ukulele and was looking to get back together with Ash and he pretty much said 'no worries, get a band together and send me a ... read more

Well yet again I find myself at an internet facility that denies me of my right to share my photos. So bad luck for all of you. Meanwhile, though I'm currently staynig with a Couchsurfing host (the first of what I intend to be many! :) in central Manchester. She's really nice and I pretty much have the flat to myself most of the time- so far. I'm getting well-keen for Em Dee on Sunday night! (The reason I came here in the first place- a didgeridoo pilgrimage! :) And I'm about to go to a conference at the library on how to manage a band! From what I've seen so far, Manchester is a pretty cool place! Pity it's so damn cold!... read more

Day 6 - Manchester (If your not a Manc, your a Wank!) London was great. I met a lot of cool people, a few who are doing the same thing i am...in a way. This one guy has been traveling for 2 years now, having already gone to Spain and South Africa. Going back to Spain for a year and then on to Greece. They move to a country for 6 months to a year, get a job teaching English or working in a hostel, and travel. What a life.I learned a lot about the Brits. Friendly and courteous, but they also tend to mind their own business. In a rush to catch the "Tube" or just walking to work, earphones glued to their ears, hardly any of them made any eye contact. I saw many ... read more
