Hey folks, in an internet cafe in London right now and its pretty cheap so I thought I would just fire off a quick update! It was so hard to leave Switzerland but all good things must come to an end. When I win the lottery I am definatly moving back there! Hopped on the 6 hour train to Paris and wow was that boring. The definate advantage of Busabout is that when you are on the bus at least you know the person sitting next to you speaks English and that they arent on their way to work. Spent some good quality time with the Ipod and the journal. Got into Paris and once I got off the train it was strange that everything in Paris was familiar. I got to the hostel and I ... read more

Wow, lots of news! First of all my big bro and his wife, Ilka, had a baby boy on June 14th!!!! The Borochovitz family name will continue, woohooo! Second... just got to London this afternoon. Plane was delayed for an hour or so, so I didn't get to see the Sigmund Freud museum booo. But I did manage to meet up with Jackie and Allison, after seeing that there were three station exits for Westminster, where we decided to meet, but we did it!! Then we got a pseudo dinner after purchasing me a ticket for our show tonight - We Will Rock You - only 16 pounds for the last row woohooo! I checked into my hostel which looks run down but it is clean and reliable and I have my own room. The toilet ... read more

First of all, Emma, this is me. Finally have time to update. So, we had a very Hazelly Christmas the other week. Fine eats were had, bubbly Prosecco was quaffed and choice presents were swapped. In a stark Eastern European fashion according to the photos. Today I'm wearing my tinsel ring and it's lending a cheery glow to what's otherwise shaping up to be a kind of murky day. We had our sort of farewell dinner in the flat on Saturday night. The girls all cooked something, Rémy and Abi came, and Dave came all the way back from Warwick, despite his prospects being exponentially better there than with us. He made us pay for it in liver damage though. They gave us a picture of the Albert Bridge, and wrote the sweetest things in our ... read more

So anyways, now Dad says if they close the borders on account of Bird Flu, he's going to have to troop in and save me, SAS stylee. His complaint about that is that he has too much work on to take the time off. Indebted to your dedication, I'm sure. I've only got one jab left, and Stu's only got two, so we're almost on our way. Now if we could just crawl out from beneath our respective workloads, we could probably start getting pretty excited about now. Christmas at Chez Hazel this weekend, which should steady the brain a bit. Well provided HG doesn't freak out at the TOPS present I bought for her. Aaaaaaaaaaahhahahhahahahahhahahahahhaa. Oh hang on, wrong blog. This is getting confused. Stuart announced to us all last night that he planned to ... read more

HG and I are hanging around the London Film Festival like bad smells at the moment. So far we've seen Elizabethtown, which we almost missed because Orlando wouldn't stop talking to me on the red carpet. He's lovely, but so clingy man! Then we saw A Cock and Bull Story, with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Well not with them, we ditched them at the door, but they were in the film. What else...umm, oh yeah New York Doll, about Arthur 'Killer' Kane, The Wendell Baker Story, and Linda Linda Linda. 5 down, 5 to go. It's providing a welcome diversion from work, which is doing my head in. Found a top cheapy Chinese place in Chinatown the other night, called the Fook Sing. I like it because for 4 quid I get a heaving plate ... read more

But not today. We've both been working too hard, and now I've got some kind of lurgy. I managed to outrage Dad this morning though, which is never a bad thing. After telling him God only knows how many times, and even inviting him to come to Vietnam with us, he's only just realised that we'll be spending a few months in Asia. He sounded bloody heartbroken! 'Whaddya wanna go *there* for ?' 'You'll die of bird flu! or Banditry!' 'Now I'll have to turn off the tv and not read the papers!' 'oh, I can't stand it!' It was fantastic. Oh, and just quietly, since when do you read the papers? And the Wentworth Courier doesn't count. Best part of my day so far. Apart from the standard 'Poor Stuart' line. Jeez that gets on ... read more

Just missed out on another Saturday night, thanks to the Rabies vaccine. It was to be a party full of frenchies too, and the flat got to go except for me. Bleeuurrgh. It's about 11.30 and I shouldn't be here until 1.00. I swear I'm due a bit of good karma. Yesterday, while the others slept it off, I went up to Spitalfields (or what's left of it), and then wandered up Brick Lane. I was aiming for a vintage shop I've been meaning to look at, but it was closed. Typical. That's how it goes in this town. Afternoon was better. Jim took me out for Tapas, somehow the flat ended up watching 4 hours of South Park, we spent a bit of time being very mean about the people coming to look at Rémy's ... read more
