Jan, Nisa and Suzanne and I all met at Freeport to see the Sex and the City movie. Suzanne (geek) knew the series plot line inside out so gave me a refresh before the movie started. I wasn’t really expecting much, but 2 hours later was amazed how the time had flown. I laughed so much I almost peed and wanted to cry at the sad bits, it was a very emotional ‘rollercoaster’ film and I loved it! Very glad we went to see it, and enjoyed the girly bonding! So were now home and yeah it is good to be home, have our home comforts and to catch up and see everyone etc but would I rather be chilling out on some gorgeous tropical island in the middle of nowhere? Of course I would! We had such an amazing time and like I said it’s hard to believe it’s over and were back in England! My favourite place overall was Thailand, the beaches were lovely, the people were so friendly and there is so much culture to explore and experience. I definitely want to go back to Thailand as we [View Full Entry]

39 Steps

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Essex » Colchester
We took my mum out for her birthday. We had dinner at the yummy Italian Wayne and I went to for my birthday and then went to the theatre. We saw the 39 Steps at the Mercury. The theatre was packed out! I really enjoyed the play, it was very very funny, and lots of amusing action. I would love to see the film (not funny apparently). [View Full Entry]

Returning to England, the last thing we expected was a prolonged period of good weather. Not that we are complaining of course! We stayed with Trish’s parents in Frinton-on-Sea on the Essex coast where we hardly saw a cloud in the sky! It’s always nice to walk along the seafront when the sun is shining. There were some very brave people about, stripped down to the bare minimum and sunbathing on the beach or, even braver, swimming in the sea! Needless to say we didn’t join them! We also took a stroll along the promenade at Harwich. Once again the weather [View Full Entry]

Allo Allo

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Essex » Maldon
We decided to go and see Neil and his am dram group in Allo Allo. We were not sure what to expect when we arrived and I imagined the awkward moment when we had to say how good it was thinking what if it isn't! Fortunately it was brilliant. We laughed loads and loads. Neil is clearly a closet Italian! [View Full Entry]

As we flew over the Thames I felt rather depressed about having to go back to working again after having such an amazing time traveling. Little did I know how much Heathrow Airport would do its very best to make matters even more unpleasant. When we landed, there were not any gates available for the plane to park at, so we sat on the runway for the best part of an hour. In the end they allocated us a section of the tarmac to disembark; however, the airport staff could not find anyone to drive the stairs over to the plane, [View Full Entry]

This year for my birthday I was unfortunately working :( However my family came over and took me out for a yummy lunch - Mummy Pappy and Aunty Mary embarrassing me with a cake and candles in the café. Mummy also managed to get 4 tickets to the theatre for the evening which had been sold out! Wayne and I got to Colchester early and went to dinner at a delicious seafood Italian restaurant. I had scrummy crab followed by turbot, crayfish and scallops. It was delicious! Dad’s Army the Lost Episodes was brilliant, the actors were fantastic and it was [View Full Entry]
